NEXRAIL is a Luxemburg-based full-service locomotive leasing company founded in 2021. The idea for NEXRAIL was developed by industrial professionals that form the executive management team. The company is supported by Infravia Capital Partners. InfraVia is a leading independent private equity firm, specialized in infrastructure and technology investments. Since 2008, InfraVia has raised over EUR 10 billions of capital and invested in 35+ companies across 13 European countries.

NEXRAIL’s mission is to transition the European locomotive market to a fossil-free future by developing innovative, sustainable locomotive solutions, such as battery and dual-mode
traction. The company was launched with the acquisition of a sizable portfolio of leased locomotives from a tier-1 manufacturer. The acquisition was accompanied by a landmark newbuild order for innovative, first-of-its-kind, hybrid locomotives. NEXRAIL is scaling up and has an outstanding order book of ca 80 locomotives, which means that the fleet will grow to 130+ locomotives in the next 18 months.

Job Description

NEXRAIL’s IT landscape is made of modern, scalable cloud-based solutions that have been structured to enable fact-based decision making and process optimization. The group works on the Office 365 suite and uses Sage and Odoo as ERPs, Boom as Maintenance Management System, Google cloud as data lake and PowerBI as visualization tool. In 2025, a CRM, a consolidation tool and a web-based locomotive services software will be added to the IT offering.

We are seeking a motivated and talented IT Support to join our team and provide system and hardware support. The mission of the position is to work closely with users, vendors and integrators to improve system performance and satisfaction. The IT Support will implement the corporate IT Governance: document, track issues and actionable steps.
The IT Support will report to the Head of IT and Processes in the Operations division.

Key tasks

Application Support
• Provide initial troubleshooting and support on incoming support requests, via chat or phone
• Inventory tickets posted by users and track resolution progress
• Diagnose problems or coordinate with experts
• Organize IT Governance Committees to decide on evolution requests

Assets and Accesses
• Prepare computers for end users (windows)
• Help set up Office 365 on mobile phone
• License management and user credentials on all software

Cybersecurity and Server
• Manage cybersecurity:
o Administrate security rules on tenant and terminals (Intunes)
o Track and analyze threats with our Cyber SOC provider
o Manage prevention and user communication on cybersecurity
• Manage server environment (Azure):
o Follow up with provider: consumption, system upgrade, etc.

Website management
• Implement changes in SharePoint sites
• Coordinate changes on public website

Qualifications and Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in managing M365 backend and cybersecurity tools.
• Ability to work as a team member and independently with minimal supervision.
• Capacity to understand business processes.
• Service delivery oriented.
• Good communication skills.
• English is the working language, German is appreciated.
